About Amaan

I love teaching. Helping someone with something they are struggling with and being the difference for them in an important aspect of their journey is one of the most beautiful and fulfilling elements of life. I am a student for life but I am also very passionate about teaching and passing on knowledge I have learnt. I am very talkative and easy-going and will always ensure to make you feel comfortable and comfortable in my lessons. Not only will I be your tutor but a mentor who can pass on wisdom and advice having already walked the path you are currently walking. I am very strategic in my approach. As our sessions progress, I will be able to analyse your strengths and weaknesses and help you target those limitations to improve your performance in the most important exams of your young life. I will also teach you the skills to be able to identify and improve this yourself, as it is a very important skill to be used throughout your life and not just during academic exams. Now, what can you expect of me? You can expect a tutor that is professional, courteous, humble and always on time. I pride myself on my punctuality and professionalism, as well as being strategic and methodical, and therefore this is everything you can expect during your time with me. My lessons will be structured and streamlined, as they are all pre-planned, and long-term students are treated like a project, with the aim being to ensure substantial progress as time goes on through calculated and structured lessons focused on their weaknesses.

About the lesson

I am a 23-year-old University of Birmingham graduate with 3 years of online tutoring experience and a huge passion for both teaching and learning. I offer 1-hour lessons which are completely tailored to the individual. Every student has their own way of learning and understanding and it is important for the teaching style used to be adapted to the child's profile. For this reason, I offer a free session prior to any actual sessions to gain an insight into how the child works so that I can ensure my teaching will be most effective for them and easily digestible. In these hourly sessions, I focus on key exam skills and thought processes during our sessions to ensure my students are equipped with a strategic approach to answering exam questions and allow them to efficiently and effectively answer these questions. This is after they have a strong understanding of the content of the subject and topic at hand. am

Amaan tutored my youngest brother from year 10 to GCSE level and was a great help. He helped my brother improve his grades in both maths and English language GCSE. He was patient and took his time explaining things as my brother has ADHD and is a slow learner. He was always punctual and very responsible when I messaged him outside of session.

Amaan is a very close family friend who has become closer due to the excellent maths GCSE tutoring he provides my sister.

At the beginning of the year, she was struggling however, I can confidently say she is excelling in her classes due to the hours that he has put in with her. She is now competing with the top students and has a strong influential role within her class as students are now asking her for help with problems that they come up against. I am grateful to have a strong tutor and role model like Amaan tutoring my sister and wish I had gone with him sooner due to his excellent turnover!

I am confident in Amaan's teachings and will always put forward a good recommendation to friends and family who are looking for tuition for their children.

Amaan was a great help for my daughter who was struggling with her maths GCSE. He was really patient and took time in breaking her weakest subjects down in ways that were easy for her to understand and made her a lot more confident in her maths exams.
