About Samia
Hello! My name is Samia, and I am a fourth and final year Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Calgary, graduating in May 2026. I have a strong passion for teaching and helping students build confidence in their English skills, whether they are beginners, advanced learners, or somewhere in between.
I have several years of experience teaching and mentoring students of different ages and backgrounds. Through my work as a tutor and teacher, I have learned how to adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s learning pace, goals, and personality. I believe learning English should feel supportive, engaging, and encouraging, not intimidating.
Having lived in multiple countries and worked with people from diverse cultures, I understand the challenges that come with learning a new language. I focus on creating a comfortable, judgment-free environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and improving step by step.
My lessons are structured, patient, and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether your goal is improving conversational English, building grammar and vocabulary, preparing for school, or gaining confidence in professional communication, I am committed to helping you succeed.

I have been teaching for more than 2 years, one-on-one tutoring style, to many different age ranges, ethnicities, and nationalities. I have taught student in Mainland China, Bangladesh, and Canada. I bring a unique, tailored approach to teach for every individual student to accommodate their preferred pace and method of learning. I am open to teach anyone from zero to basic, intermediate, and advanced English skills.
