About Emma
I am a University Project Officer working within the Careers Service, responsible for managing an emplyability award programme. I work closely with students whose first language is not English, supporting them through the programme and in enhancing their employability skills e.g. interview techniques and CV writing. I am educated to degree level, having achieved a 1st class honours degree in Psychology & Counselling. Whilst studying, I did a placement as a Teaching Assistant working with university students.

I am a University Project Officer and offer individual and bespoke ESOL lessens to anyone who is learning English as a second language. I understand that everyone is different and is learning at varying levels therefore each session will be specifically tailored to you and your needs.
In the first session I will assess your current level of English and areas of interest (e.g. subjects, hobbies) in order to develop your personalised lesson plan that will be valuable and meaningful to you. Each subsequent session will focus on a specific topic agreed by you at the start. Sessions will involve a mixture of prepared questions, general conversational techniques and pronunciation, plus valuable feedback is provided throughout.
This student-centred approach to tutoring means that no lesson is the same and you will received a personalised service that focuses on your individual needs.
