About Yolanda Thandekile
I am a vibrant, young, dedicated student teacher, currently enrolled for for my final year in the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal Edgewood campus, I am results-oriented and believe that the hard work outcomes are fruitful. The best way to describe my personality is that I am driven, observant and positive. I am empathetic, patient, respectful and supportive towards my learners. My practical experience with learners thus far, I have learnt so much from the educators as well as the learners. It has made me even more passionate about being an educator because I love children.

The learner-centered approach makes learners more eager to learn as I will be more of a facilitator rather than the teacher, as I am in the primary sector, I am well aware of the 'absorbent mind', and will make sure that the learner is able to express themselves and share their own experiences. The languages I am proficient in are English and Isizulu. I use discussions, questioning and answering during lessons, which helps me understand what learners know and which sections they struggle in.
