About Saloni
I am a dedicated and professional online mathematics and statistics tutor with 4 years of experience helping students build confidence, clarity, and strong problem-solving skills. I work with learners at different levels, from school students to college-level learners, and I tailor each session to the student’s pace, goals, and current understanding.
I hold a degree from the University of London under LSE academic direction, along with a distinction in Mathematics and the University of London Award of Academic Excellence. My academic background and tutoring experience allow me to explain concepts clearly, support exam preparation, and guide students through topics such as basic mathematics, intermediate mathematics, statistics, and differential calculus.
My approach is patient, structured, and student-focused. I believe good teaching should make students feel supported, motivated, and capable of learning independently. I teach mathematics and statistics through a clear, patient, and personalized approach that focuses on real understanding rather than memorization. I first assess the student’s current level, identify gaps in knowledge, and then explain concepts step by step using simple language, examples, and guided practice. My teaching style is interactive, so I encourage questions throughout the lesson and adapt my pace according to the student’s comfort and learning needs.
A typical class begins with a quick review of previous work, followed by concept explanation, worked examples, and then practice questions to check understanding. I also include regular revision and exam-style problem solving to build confidence and improve accuracy. For more advanced topics like differential calculus, I make sure students understand the logic behind each method so they can apply it independently.
