My Approach to Tutoring I believe in learning by doing. According to the Cone of Learning, passive learning methods like lectures and reading are far less effective than active practice. That’s why my lessons focus on solving questions, applying concepts, and hands-on problem-solving rather than just listening and note-taking. Teaching Techniques & Methodology Practice-First Approach – Instead of relying on lectures, I guide students through real exam questions and exercises from the very beginning. Step-by-Step Problem Solving – We break down complex problems into manageable steps, ensuring a deep understanding of the concepts. Active Engagement – I use interactive whiteboards, discussions, and worked examples to keep lessons dynamic and effective. Exam-Focused Strategy – I provide structured revision plans, time management techniques, and past paper practice to maximise exam success. Lesson Structure Each lesson typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student's needs. Sessions include a mix of guided problem-solving, independent practice, and review to reinforce learning. Qualifications & Experience Business Accounting student at the University of Manchester with a strong background in STEM subjects. Experienced tutor specialising in GCSE & A-Level Maths and Physics, helping students improve their confidence and grades. Who Are My Lessons For?
