About Hawi
I am originally from Ethiopia and started learning English along with Amharic, the national language of Ethiopia. Having studied English before, I know the most effective way to learn for young students. I also studied language learning in the brain as a neuroscience student in college, so I know how students learn more effectively. I started learning French at the age of 13 and now I have an advanced level so I will be able to speak to students in French if they need to. However, I believe the best way to learn English is to maintain a fully English speaking class.

From my studies on language learning and the brain, I know that regular practice is the best way to learn a language. I impose an entirely English-speaking class but I allow students to ask questions in French if they need to. As a native speaker of English, I hope to help students learn phrases and vocabulary that they would actually use in everyday life. I also want to help students in addition to the English lessons they take at school. I can help them with their homework, revise their schoolwork, and give them private lessons to improve their skills.
