About Joshua
I am a final year DPhil Physics student at the University of Oxford who has been tutoring for 2 year. I am passionate about physics and helping people expand their understanding of science. I aim to build both a more intuitive and logical method of approaching maths and science, helping students improve at all levels. I achieve this by tailoring my sessions to each students needs and building a foundation of understanding, utilising using their own methods of thinking before tackling more advanced problems to allow them to learn in a way that suits them best.

I aim to help students on specific problem areas, using example problems to both teach the material as well as build the skills and understanding to construct solutions to future problems of an equal or higher level. This allows the student to learn beyond the session I deliver and can aid this further by providing students with additional examples to work on independently if necessary. I have experience using this method tutoring small groups of 16-18 year old students on content that bridged the gap between A-level and undergraduate physics.
