About Mila
Hello! My name is Mila, and I am currently a university student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computing. My academic background gives me a daily, practical foundation in logical thinking, structured problem-solving, and continuous learning—skills that I am passionate about passing on to younger students.
I specialize in tutoring Senior Phase Mathematics (Grades 7 to 9), a crucial academic stage whereby learners transition from basic arithmetic into abstract algebra, geometry, and formal problem-solving. Having navigated this curriculum and moving into higher education, I understand firsthand where students tend to get stuck and how intimidating math can feel when concepts aren't explained clearly.
My goal as a tutor is to create a calm, patient, and encouraging environment where mistakes are treated as natural learning steps rather than failures. I take pride in being reliable, punctual, and highly structured in my approach, ensuring that every student receives dedicated, individual attention tailored to their unique pace.

My approach to Mathematics is built on a simple principle: Math isn't about memorizing formulas, it's about understanding the logic behind them. High school math (especially Grades 7 to 9) can feel super overwhelming as students transition into abstract algebra and complex geometry. I focus on breaking down intricate concepts into clear, step-by-step visual and logical components so that students build genuine problem-solving skills rather than relying on rote learning.
What makes my lessons unique is my structured yet patient approach. As a university computing student, I deal with logical structures daily, which allows me to explain mathematical rules from multiple angles until we find the explanation that clicks for the learner.
