About Kushal

Hi, I’m Kushal — a Mathematical Sciences graduate from the University of Southampton with a real passion for helping students understand and enjoy maths. I know from personal experience how much of a difference a good tutor can make — I had one during my GCSEs and A-Levels, and it completely changed how I approached learning. Now, I want to give that same support and confidence to my own students. I’m a patient, organised, and approachable tutor who believes every student can succeed with the right guidance. I take time to understand how each student learns best and adapt my explanations to suit their style — whether that’s using clear step-by-step methods, visual examples, or lots of practice questions. With my academic background and professional experience as a Business and Data Analyst, I bring both strong subject knowledge and real-world applications into my lessons. My aim is to make maths less intimidating, build confidence, and help students reach their full potential.

Hi, I’m Kushal — a Mathematical Sciences graduate from the University of Southampton. I offer engaging and supportive Maths lessons for GCSE and A-Level students who want to improve their understanding, confidence, and exam technique. My approach is to make maths feel clear, logical, and approachable. I start each lesson by identifying which topics a student finds most challenging, then break down problems step by step using simple examples, quick sketches, and real-life links where possible. I also encourage students to explain their reasoning out loud — this helps them spot gaps in understanding and build confidence in their thinking. Lessons typically last one hour, although I can adjust to suit a student’s needs and attention span. I use a mix of exam-style practice, concept reviews, and interactive problem solving to help students learn effectively. Having studied maths in depth at university and worked as a Business and Data Analyst, I bring a practical, patient, and adaptable teaching style. I understand that every student learns differently — some need visual examples, while others prefer clear, logical explanations — so I tailor my approach to each individual. My goal is for students not only to understand the method, but also to feel confident and positive about maths. Whether you’re aiming for top grades or just want to strengthen your basics, I’ll support you every step of the way.
