About Mashi

English was not my first language, so I understand firsthand what it feels like to learn English academically and then have to use it confidently in everyday life. I originally learned English through formal study, but after moving countries, it gradually became the main language I use every day.

Because of this, my lessons go beyond grammar, vocabulary and textbook English. I can help students develop confidence in speaking, pronunciation, writing and everyday conversation, while also understanding the informal expressions, slang and natural way English is spoken in real life.

Having been an English learner myself, I understand many of the difficulties students experience, including translating thoughts from their first language, feeling nervous when speaking, or knowing the correct words but struggling to use them naturally. I can share the techniques and practical tips that helped me overcome those challenges.

My lessons are especially suited to students learning English as a second language, people preparing for exams such as IELTS, or anyone preparing to study, work or live in an English-speaking country. Most importantly, I want my lessons to feel supportive and enjoyable. Learning English should build confidence, not create fear, and I want every student to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and progressing at their own pace.

My lessons are personalised, structured and designed around each student’s individual learning style, goals and level of confidence. I focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing new skills and strengthening areas they may find challenging. My approach combines clear explanations, practical examples and guided activities to make learning engaging and easy to understand. Whether you are looking to improve your English, strengthen your academic skills, receive support with business-related subjects or build greater confidence in your studies, each lesson will be tailored to help you make meaningful and measurable progress.
