About Amal
Hey! I’m Amal, a Sport Management student at Loughborough University, and I’m really excited to start helping GCSE students feel more confident with maths. I might be new to tutoring, but I’ve always loved helping classmates and friends understand tricky topics and find easier ways to learn them. My lessons are friendly, supportive, and focused on making maths actually make sense, not just memorising formulas. I like to keep things relaxed and fun while making sure you’re improving every session. Whether you’re aiming to boost your grade or just want to feel more confident before exams, I’ll help you get there step by step!

My tutoring approach is student-centred, focused on building understanding and confidence. I tailor each lesson to the student’s learning style, whether visual, auditory, or hands-on—and encourage active participation through problem-solving and discussion. I also make sure to connect topics to real-world examples to keep lessons engaging and relevant. Lessons usually last 60 minutes, though I can adjust this depending on the student’s needs and attention span, some prefer focused 45-minute sessions, while others benefit from longer 90-minute study blocks. I am currently looking for GCSE-level students but I’m open to working with younger students who want to build a strong foundation in maths before their exams.
