About Emily
I am a current university student who graduated my high school with gold honor role and a 4.6 GPA. I have been working with children since I was 13 and could babysit my younger sister. Since then I have worked multiple summer camps, managed youth sports league sites and nannied for numerous families. Hobbies I have include art, rock climbing, snowboarding and hiking. I was in school for Mandarin Chinese for 11 years and even got the opportunity to travel to China with my class to truly experience the culture. I love working with kids and hope to be able to give them a positive learning experience they look forward to!

Having been a professional child care taker (nanny, camp counselor, coach) for 3 years (and counting), I pride myself on my ability to connect with kids and helping teach them through activities and fun learning.
Through my lessons I hope to establish a good connection with the student as well as approaching their learning from a fun and collaborative perspective. I understand the struggles learning in a traditional classroom and I hope to create a safe environment where lessons are fun and engaging rather than a dread.
I was immersed in the Chinese culture and language since I was young and have also excelled in English writing, grammar and reading from a young age. I would love an opportunity to share what I’ve learned and grew to love.
