About Hannah
As a tutor, I bring a student-centered approach to each lesson, drawing on my experience and education as I work towards becoming a teacher. Currently, I'm pursuing a degree in elementary education at the University of Alberta, gaining in-depth knowledge of teaching strategies and classroom management. I break down complex concepts to make learning accessible and fun for younger kids, while for secondary students, I focus on building their critical thinking and writing skills. My lessons are interactive, using games and hands-on activities for young learners and creative exercises for older students. With my growing experience in education, I aim to foster independence and a love for learning in every student I work with, whether it's through personalized feedback or engaging lesson plans.

As a tutor, I adopt a student-centered approach, tailoring lessons to individual learning styles while focusing on engagement and critical thinking. I use scaffolding techniques to build knowledge step by step, making learning interactive and fun for younger kids through games and stories, and more analytical for secondary students with discussions and writing exercises. Each lesson typically begins with a warm-up, followed by core content, interactive practice, and reflection, ensuring concepts are understood and applied. What sets me apart is my adaptability, ability to make learning enjoyable, and focus on fostering a love for learning, whether I'm teaching foundational skills to young children or helping secondary students develop strong English reading and writing abilities.
