About Siyavuya
I am a university student studying Actuarial Science, with a strong academic focus on Pure Mathematics and Statistics. I am passionate about helping students build confidence and develop a solid understanding of these subjects. Having recently worked through the same concepts at both high school and first-year university level, I understand the challenges learners face and aim to make complex ideas clearer and more approachable.
I am interested in teaching because I enjoy explaining concepts in a structured and logical way, and helping students improve through understanding rather than memorization. I approach tutoring professionally by preparing thoroughly for each lesson and adapting my teaching style to suit each student’s needs. My goal is to create a supportive, focused learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making steady academic progress.

My tutoring approach focuses on clear, patient explanations and building a strong understanding of Pure Mathematics and Statistics. I break concepts down step by step, helping students understand the logic behind methods rather than relying on memorisation. I teach in English and encourage an open, supportive learning environment where questions are always welcome.
Lessons are structured and interactive, starting with identifying problem areas, followed by worked examples and guided practice. Where appropriate, we work through exam-style questions to build confidence and application skills.
