About Vania
I'm Vania, a medical student at the University of Bristol; however, French is my biggest passion and something I choose to continue studying. Languages are a really important skill that can exercise your brain to improve your cognition and communication. I studied French at GCSE and A-Level, in which I obtained a 9 and an A*. I have particularly strong speaking skills and grammar knowledge so I would love to spend time helping students improve and find the joy in languages!

I learnt French from scratch to a high standard in the UK and understand the challenges a native English speaker faces with French. I have several strategies to help overcome these in both speaking and grammar.
I create tailored lesson plans at a GCSE level, depending on a student's current abilities and future goals. I encourage my students to aim high and put a structured plan in place to target multiple areas at once, as French requires many skills in cohesion. Furthermore, having recently sat GCSE and A-level exams, where I achieved strong A*/9, I understand specific exam technique, which can help boost grades even for students who already have a good level of French.
I have experience working with students who struggle with the basics of French and need support and tricks to remember conjugations and spelling rules, but also with more academic students who need to improve confidence and communication skills to reach their full potential.
