About Samara

Hi! I’m Samara Kelleher, I’m 21 and a Bondi local — I’ve lived here my whole life! I went to Kambala, a girls' private school in Sydney’s East, where I developed a strong academic foundation and a real love for learning. I’m incredibly passionate about teaching and working with kids, and I’ve been tutoring for over 2 years, both privately and with a well-established tutoring company. I’ve worked with students from Kindergarten all the way to Year 12, helping them grow in confidence, improve their results, and actually enjoy learning. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and progressing at their own pace. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit their individual needs — whether that’s breaking things down step-by-step, building strong study habits, or focusing on exam strategies.

96.5 ATAR | 2+ Years Tutoring Experience | University of Sydney Psychology Graduate Hi, I’m a 21-year-old Psychology graduate from the University of Sydney with over 2 years of tutoring experience, working with students across a wide range of ages and academic levels. I offer tutoring in Sydney, Australia, for: - K–6 students: All primary school subjects - High school students: - English (All levels) - Standard Mathematics* - All History subjects (Modern, Ancient, Extension) - Business Studies & other business-related subjects - Visual Arts & Design* My Teaching Approach: I focus on tailoring each lesson to the individual student’s needs, learning style, and goals. My sessions are interactive and supportive, aiming to build strong foundational knowledge, improve confidence, and foster independent learning habits. I use a mix of: - Visual aids, discussion-based learning, and real-life examples to make abstract concepts easier to understand. - Structured lesson plans that still allow flexibility depending on the student’s pace and focus areas. - Exam strategies and practice to prepare senior students for assessments and the HSC. Lesson Structure - Lessons typically run for 45 minutes to an hour, but I also offer longer sessions depending on the student’s needs and attention span. - For younger students (K–6), I keep lessons engaging and varied to maintain focus. - For older students (Years 7–12), I provide clear explanations, structured guidance, and targeted feedback on schoolwork and assignments. Qualifications & Experience: - 96.5 ATAR: with high performance in English, History, Business Studies, and Visual Arts. - Bachelor of Psychology – University of Sydney (currently in final year of degree) - 2+ years of private tutoring experience, supporting students from early primary through to Year 12. - Experience tutoring individuals and small groups both in-person and online. I work with students of all abilities, including those looking to improve performance or extend themselves academically.
