About Siya
Hello! I’m a University of Toronto Computer Science student with a strong background in mathematics, and I would love to help Ontario high school students succeed in Functions, Advanced Functions, and Calculus. As a tutor, my goal is simple: to help students truly understand math and feel confident solving problems on their own. Whether you're aiming for higher grades, preparing for university, or just want to feel less stressed in class — I can help. A typical lesson plan:
- Quick review of previous material or homework
- Explain and explore today’s topic with examples and guided practice
- Walk through common mistakes and how to avoid them
- Practice problems — first together, then independently
- Short recap and plan for what to focus on next time
What sets me apart:
I’m a current University of Toronto Computer Science student, so I understand today’s high school math expectations very well. I relate to students — I know the challenges of balancing schoolwork and math stress! My lessons are friendly and supportive — I want every student to feel comfortable asking questions. I help students build confidence, not just better grades.
