Teaching Techniques:
My teaching style is interactive, engaging, and tailored to meet each student’s learning goals. I focus on the four key language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while incorporating cultural aspects like proverbs, songs, and stories to deepen understanding.
My methodology includes:
- Immersive Practice: Speaking in Igbo from the first lesson to build fluency and confidence.
- Personalized Lessons: Adapting the pace and content to suit the student’s proficiency level and objectives.
- Visual Aids and Technology: Using images, videos, and online tools to reinforce learning and make lessons memorable.
- Cultural Integration: Teaching traditional Igbo customs, idioms, and expressions for real-world communication.
- Assessment and Feedback: Regular quizzes and constructive feedback to track progress and address challenges.
Typical Lesson Length:
Each lesson lasts 1 hour, balancing focused instruction with engaging practice activities. I also offer shorter or extended sessions (30-90 minutes) based on individual needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
Igbo Language is my mother-tongue, I got Distinction in Igbo Language during my high school education. Over the years, I have successfully taught students ranging from beginners to advanced learners, helping them achieve fluency and cultural understanding.
