About Lucas
With 7 years of experience and a Doctorate in Vocal Performance, I help adults connect to singing as a form of self-care and creativity. My lessons are low-pressure, supportive, and designed to make you feel comfortable from the first note. Many of my students are beginners or returning singers rediscovering their voices. We focus on breathwork, posture, and relaxation to release tension and build tone naturally. Singing becomes an act of mindfulness—a way to be present. I teach a range of styles including Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult music. You’ll learn to express yourself without fear or judgment. My sessions are often described as grounding and uplifting. Whether your goal is to sing in a choir or just for joy, I’ll guide you gently toward confidence. Music can heal and inspire at any stage. My approach blends science and artistry to create sustainable technique. Every lesson begins with understanding how the voice functions and how to care for it. I focus on breath efficiency, alignment, and tone balance. Singers learn how to sing for long periods without losing clarity or comfort. Training includes building vocal stamina for touring, services, and frequent rehearsals. I also teach recovery routines and vocal rest planning. Exercises are tailored to strengthen endurance while protecting the instrument. The Soloist in Training gains control and confidence under performance pressure. The Church Ensemble Player learns to stay vocally steady across multiple sets. Students receive guidance on hydration, nutrition, and daily vocal habits. I encourage consistency over intensity. Long-term health creates long-term artistry. The mission is simple: protect your voice, sustain your career.
