About Ben
I have been a computer science teacher and head of computer science for the last 8 years. I have covered the OCR and AQA specifications for both the GCSE and A-Level. My programming language of choice is Python but can assist with others (do please discuss this with me).
My technical expertise comes from my degree in Robotics and have helped several students in the past on their career paths in all things computer science related.
I have paved the way for computer science teaching in several schools in the south of England and pride myself on being able to take quite a technical and difficult subject at times and be able to explain to learners of all levels.

I have been a computer science teacher and head of computer science for the past 8 years. I have taught both the OCR and AQA exam specifications covering GCSE and A-Level. Several of my past students have gone onto studying computer science at universities but also many have mange to acquire degree apprenticeships at some top companies.
Each student is different and has different goals. To start I would like to meet with the student (and parents/guardians if appropriate) to discuss what the goal of these tutoring sessions are. From there we can design a bespoke plan going forward to help reach these goals.
Alternatively, you may just want help with the content being covered in your lessons or your own project. I have enough experience to jump into anywhere in the GCSE and A-Level computer science courses to assist.
The first 30 minutes is free to decide if you wish to go forward with more sessions. This gives us an opportunity to discuss and work out a plan going forward.
Lessons can range from 30 minutes to an hour (happy to discuss longer sessions if needed). Whether you are a keen and curious new-starter to the world of computer science or looking for that edge with your computer science exams feel free to enquire!
