About Ryan
My teaching approach for guitar is flexible and student-centered, designed to meet each learner’s unique needs. I understand that every student learns differently, especially diverse learners, so I use sensory tools and adapt the lesson pace to create a comfortable and effective learning environment. I focus on building confidence through positive feedback and encouragement, helping students feel proud of their progress. Whether you enjoy strumming simple songs or exploring complex jazz improvisation, I tailor lessons to match your goals and interests. I break down difficult techniques into manageable steps and use fun, interactive methods to keep lessons engaging. Creating a safe space where students feel supported is very important to me. This way, learners can express themselves freely and develop their musical voice without fear of making mistakes. I also emphasize listening skills, rhythm, and theory to build a strong foundation. By combining creativity with structured learning, I help students grow both technically and artistically. My goal is to help every student enjoy playing guitar while improving steadily. Together, we work towards your musical dreams at a pace that suits you best.

I’m a passionate guitar teacher with over 7 years of experience coaching students for live performances, recording sessions, auditions, and music school entry. I hold a Diploma of Music with a specialization in guitar, which gives me a strong foundation to guide my students confidently. My teaching style is both encouraging and focused, helping each student grow at their own pace while pushing toward excellence.
I believe that great musicianship goes beyond technique—it’s about connecting with the audience and expressing your unique voice. That’s why I emphasize stage presence and creative freedom in every lesson. Whether you’re preparing for a performance or developing your skills, I work closely with you to build confidence and musicality.
My goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel motivated to explore and take risks. Together, we focus on technique, theory, and improvisation while keeping your musical goals front and center.
