About Kalaba

Hello, I'm Kalaba. I am a TEFL-certified English tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience and more than 4,000 online lessons taught. Teaching is more than a profession for me—it's an opportunity to help people grow in confidence and create new opportunities through language. I enjoy meeting students from around the world and supporting them as they work toward their goals. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy painting, music, creative projects, and learning about different cultures and perspectives, which helps bring energy and variety to my lessons.

About the lesson

I am a TEFL-certified English tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience and more than 4,000 online lessons taught. Throughout my career, I have worked with students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, helping them improve their communication skills and achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals.

In addition to my 120-hour TEFL certification, I have completed the Preply Language Teaching Certificate and continuously develop my teaching skills through practical experience. I also hold a diploma in education.

My teaching methodology is student-centered and communicative, focusing on active participation, real-life language use, and consistent feedback. I adapt each lesson to the student's needs, learning style, and objectives while creating a supportive environment that encourages confidence and progress.

My areas of expertise include IELTS Speaking preparation, Business English, job interview coaching, conversational fluency, pronunciation development, and English for young learners. I design lessons that help students build practical language skills they can apply confidently in everyday, academic, and professional situations.
