About Uma
My teaching methodology is designed to inspire and empower students through a personalized, hands-on approach. For piano lessons, I use real-life examples and case studies, connecting music to everyday life, making learning relatable and fun. With over 9 years of experience, I specialize in teaching piano to students of all ages, from school to college and working professionals. My tutoring approach focuses on personalized lessons tailored to each student's goals, whether you're looking to improve performance skills, understand music theory, or explore composition. I believe in building a strong foundation while encouraging creativity and self-expression through music.
I teach a variety of subjects, including piano technique, music theory, ear training, sight-reading, and composition. My lessons are structured to help students grow at their own pace, with a focus on practical application, from playing your favorite songs to composing original pieces.
One of my unique skills is helping students connect with music on a deeper level, making learning enjoyable and inspiring. I create a positive and supportive learning environment, ensuring that each student feels motivated and confident in their musical journey.
