About Prieta
I am a dedicated UNSW Civil Engineering graduate with over three years of experience as a private tutor, specializing in Mathematics for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. I am passionate about helping young learners build confidence, develop strong study habits, and genuinely enjoy their academic journey. Teaching allows me to make a positive impact by supporting students through challenges, celebrating their progress, and helping them unlock their full potential. Tutoring is more than just a role for me—it is a genuine passion that drives everything I do. I believe every child has the potential to enjoy learning, and my goal is to help them discover that excitement. I work to create a warm, friendly, and positive learning environment where students feel motivated rather than pressured. Each lesson is designed to be engaging, interactive, and tailored to the individual interests and learning styles of every student. By adapting my teaching approach to what each student enjoys, I help them build strong study habits while also encouraging curiosity and confidence. A key part of my philosophy is developing supportive, trusting relationships with my students. I want them to feel comfortable coming to me not only for academic support, such as homework or assignment help, but also when they feel stressed or unsure about their learning. I strongly believe that emotional well-being is closely connected to academic success. When students feel valued, understood, and encouraged, they are far more likely to excel and enjoy the process of learning. I take pride in the positive experiences my students have during our lessons. They consistently feel excited to participate, learn something new, and challenge themselves. Seeing their enthusiasm grow as their confidence increases is one of the most rewarding parts of tutoring. I am dedicated to helping every student reach their personal goals, feel proud of their progress, and develop lifelong skills that extend far beyond the classroom. I genuinely look forward to supporting more students on their learning journey and helping them achieve their best.
