About Christen

I recently completed my first semester at university and have successfully adapted to the academic expectations and learning methods of higher education. Going through this transition has given me a strong understanding of the challenges many new students face, from managing coursework to developing effective study strategies.

I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their academic abilities. Rather than simply providing answers, I aim to help students understand concepts, strengthen critical thinking skills, and develop study techniques that support long-term success. I believe that with the right guidance, encouragement, and personalized support, every student can reach their academic potential.

As a tutor, I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, overcoming challenges, and achieving their goals.

About the lesson

I am an experienced tutor who has taught students across a wide range of subjects and year levels, from primary school through to high school. Having recently completed my first semester at UoA BSc Biomed, I understand the challenges of transitioning to university and the study strategies needed to succeed.

I achieved a GPA of 9.0 in my first semester, including: BIOSCI 107, CHEM 110, POPLHLTH 111 and WTRSCI 100.

My tutoring is highly personalised to suit each student's learning style, strengths, and areas for improvement. Together, we'll set realistic goals, strengthen your understanding of key concepts, and develop effective study techniques to help you maximise your academic potential. My aim is not only to improve your grades but also to build your confidence and independence as a learner.

Lessons are typically 1 hour per subject and are tailored to your individual needs, whether you're preparing for tests, reinforcing lecture content, or aiming for top grades in your courses.
