About Wren
I’ve spent more than 4 years teaching singers how to create harmony, texture, and musical depth through their voices. My Bachelor’s degree in Ethnomusicology (Vocal Traditions) gives me a global perspective on how singing connects cultures and emotions. I specialize in vocal arrangement and harmony stacking, helping students create lush, balanced soundscapes in group or solo contexts. Whether arranging an A Cappella performance or layering vocals for a Pop or Gospel song, I emphasize musical creativity and precision. We explore counter-melodies, improvisation, and blending techniques that bring dimension to your sound. I also integrate music technology for students interested in recording or producing their own harmonies. My lessons welcome school students, college learners, and aspiring professionals alike. Every session combines technique with storytelling and emotion. You’ll not only learn to sing—you’ll learn to listen, arrange, and create. In my teaching, harmony comes first. I help singers learn to listen, blend, and communicate as part of an ensemble. My lessons focus on the fundamentals of choral singing, sight-reading, and part-singing. Students build vocal strength and flexibility while learning how to balance their sound with others. I emphasize tone matching, phrasing, and breath coordination to create a unified choral texture. My methodology is especially supportive of The Orchestra Member and The Crossover Artist, guiding them toward effortless integration in group settings. Each session develops skills for teamwork, musical awareness, and expression. I encourage singers to think beyond their part and connect to the music as a whole. Sight-reading exercises make rehearsals smoother and more enjoyable. Lessons are practical, engaging, and goal-oriented. The result is a confident singer who contributes musically and emotionally to the group. Together, we’ll turn singing into true collaboration.
