About Marjan
I am a Software Engineer currently studying my second year at UTS (University of Technology Sydney). I have a strong passion for learning languages and have studied up to 3 languages (including Korean) on my own. Having studied Korean for 6 years now, I can confidently speak listen and write fluently. Doing so has allowed me to communicate with native Korean people and hence improved my skills and understanding of the language. I successfully completed Korean Continuers course in year 11, and having enjoyed it thoroughly I decided to continue it further on my own. Although tutoring Korean is a first, I have experience in tutoring Japanese particularly to high school students making me highly interested in teaching Korean in the same way.

I believe anyone and everyone can learn any language very easily. most books and videos teach in a traditional methodological manner in which students are asked to memorise vocabulary and grammar structures. learning in this way is difficult as most languages do not follow a simple uniform structure and don't always stick to one specific rule for all sentences. I aim to make learning easier by helping students gain a different outlook on how languages work without needing to memorise large chunks of words in one go. My main focus will be students studying for HSC both Korean beginners and Continuers as well as those eager to learn for their own interests. All topics mentioned in the NSW board of studies will be covered for HSC students. Non- High school students will be able to learn a wide range of topics used in everyday life through conversation or have the option of creating a custom made experience in which they choose what they would prefer to learn and work on within each lesson (e.g. the student may prefer more practice on writing or reading skills rather than speaking).
