About Roan
I am a UWA Electrical Engineering and Finance student with a 98.70 ATAR, tutoring ATAR Mathematics Methods, Specialist, Chemistry, and Physics. I focus on building strong conceptual understanding rather than memorization, which helps students develop problem-solving skills that they can apply to unfamiliar questions in exams.
I have strong academic results in mathematics and science throughout high school, and I aim to help students improve both their confidence and exam performance through structured, targeted tutoring.
My current hobbies are exercise, playing electric guitar, and coding. I graduated in 2025 with A grades in ATAR Math Methods, Specialist, Chemistry, and Physics (before standardization).

I focus on building strong conceptual understanding rather than memorisation, which helps students develop problem solving skills that they can apply to unfamiliar questions in exams.
In lessons I normally start by finding gaps in understanding, moving on to clear explanations, guided practice and exam style questions. I tailor my approach to each student; some require help in gaining confidence with basics and others need to be pushed for top marks. I can also provide tips and shape students' mindset to achieve a higher ATAR; I can recommend what resources students should use for each subject.
Lessons are normally 60 minutes but this can be flexible depending on the students’ needs and workload. I offer online tutoring only.
