About Soren

My name is Soren Madadi. I am 18 years old and studying a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I graduated High School in 2025 with an ATAR of 71.55 and an English study score of 33. While my academic background might be a bit concerning considering that I am offering to be your English tutor, it doesn't necessarily generalize my competence. One of few reasons is that as you can imagine VCE is a really stressful period. I also have a kidney disease known as Posterior Urethral Valves which means that there is an imbalance of potassium and sodium in my body. In other words, I can get stressed out easily. However now that I have finished VCE, I am doing much better. It is no secret that like everyone else, I have made mistakes in VCE English. However, I have learned from them and believe that I can help you avoid those mistakes too. I have dedicated most of my school life reading, writing and pursuing humanities which will have a great impact on your lessons rest assured. This includes helping many of my peers who have brutally struggled in English to pass successfully. The main reasons I am passionate to teach is because I have always been told that I was good at by my peers so I'd thought to explore this idea and I always believed that I would learn more from teaching others :) Aside from the boring, studious part of my life, I also exercise and have found an interest in eating healthy. This is something to consider because a healthy mind means that I can offer my best English tutoring skills to the table!

About the lesson

The way I teach:

I would interpret complex ideas simply for students to understand. For example, I could demonstrate how language devices work in text analysis. Moreover, I would tell my students to read their work aloud before submitting it. This is important because I want to make sure that my students can write with clarity.

Typical length: I'd prefer teaching for an hour maximum or 30 minutes minimum.

Qualifications: ATAR: 71.55. Study Score for English: 33. Important note: Despite my English study score seeming to be low, it doesn't generalize my expertise. Considering that I have helped most of my peers who struggle with their essays, dedicated most of my academic career to reading and writing and continuing to do so, I believe that I am competent.

Ages to be taught: I am able to teach 16 - 18 year olds who are doing VCE English standard.
