I was taught by Catherine for over 10 years throughout my schooling and to go on to study tertiary music at the Melbourne Conservatorium. She shared with me unparalleled expertise at the piano and kindness as a friend.

Catherine has been my piano teacher for 12 years, since I was in Grade Two in Primary School, and she continues to be my teacher today in university. She has taken me from my first touch of a digital keyboard through to having an upright in my home, from Grade 1 AMEB to Grade 7 AMEB, and I have followed her from music schools to private lessons at home, and online through Covid.

Catherine's many years of experience with all ages means I was taught the solid fundamentals of playing from the beginning through to reading and performance. Despite being a student who struggled with English, Catherine believed I had potential to improve, and she was correct. Throughout Year 12 she remained consistently supportive while pushing me to my full potential. With her correcting many drafts, answering many questions, and providing educational material day and night, I scored an A on the English exam and a raw study score of 35, both of which seemed impossible to accomplish at the beginning of Year 12. With Catherine I was able to achieve this.
