About Ruth

My name is Ruth Wright and I enjoy helping my students overcome academic obstacles and especially love to watch them discover their ability to succeed in their mathematics learning journey. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, as well as a Master’s of Arts in Mathematics and a Master’s of Science in Data Analytics from Western Governors University. In addition to more than two decades of classroom teaching experience, I have more than a decade of team leadership experience as the head of my schools’ middle and high school mathematics department. I also sponsor the middle and high school math competition teams for my school.

About the lesson

I have over 20 years of experience helping students of all ages succeed academically in both private and group sessions. My years of experience include 20+ years of classroom instruction, private and group math content tutoring, as well as ACT prep in both group and private sessions. I promote a growth mindset mentality in my students by building their confidence as they achieve their learning goals. The human brain is capable of learning anything because we are born to learn, and my students will find they can be successful in mathematics with my guidance, encouragement, and instruction to help them find their optimum learning style.
