About Vershon
I bring nearly 30 years of experience teaching science and a professional background in molecular biology and biomedical research. I have taught Biology, Honors Biology, AP Biology, Genetics, and Biotechnology in Texas, Georgia, and Maryland, helping students at all levels build confidence and achieve academic success. Throughout my career, I have developed a stellar track record of helping students achieve success on high-stakes standardized assessments, including state end-of-course exams and Advanced Placement testing. My students consistently perform at high levels because I focus not only on content mastery, but also on critical thinking, test-taking strategies, and building the confidence needed to excel under pressure.

While I have decades of experience, my teaching methods are anything but outdated. I connect well with today's students and understand how they learn best. I also work with students who want to get a head start before taking Biology or Honors Biology in high school. Early exposure to key concepts and scientific thinking can make the transition into these rigorous courses much smoother and help students begin the school year with confidence.
My goal is not just to help students get the right answer—it's to help them understand the "why" behind it so they can become stronger, more independent learners.
