About William
Too many singers hit a wall when their breath support fails during a high phrase, leaving them straining for notes that should feel effortless. I step in to fix these moments by breaking down the mechanics of breathing control and resonance before moving into repertoire. Students can expect a focus on microphone technique and sight singing that builds genuine performance confidence over time.
We will utilise specific warm up exercises to stabilise your head and chest voice before we move on to the actual songs. Since I hold a BMus from the Royal College of Music, I emphasise the same foundational techniques required for top tier conservatoire auditions.
To keep the momentum going between meetings, homework vocal drills are assigned after every session. These exercises ensure you are practising the right movements at home. You will definitely enjoy the process of hearing your own pitch control improve week by week.

Singing often feels like a secret language that I spent years decoding at the Royal College of Music so that I could help others find their own voice. Honestly, I sometimes find the technical side of the anatomy just as fascinating as the performance aspect itself. My work centres on ABRSM and Trinity grades while preparing dedicated pupils for choral scholarships and those daunting conservatoire auditions. I have guided over 450 students including hobbyists, absolute beginners, and self-taught players who finally need some real structure.
Whether you are focused on performance or simply exploring your sound, I bring a supportive and energetic atmosphere to the studio. My background as a BMus graduate ensures that every technical hurdle is met with a clear and honest explanation. I strive to keep the learning process steady and reliable for every person I teach. You will find that my approach prioritises your comfort while maintaining a high standard of musical excellence.
