About Zari

I have a PhD in Music Education and 12 years of experience teaching violin. My journey with music began through classical training and years of performance experience that deepened my appreciation for the instrument. Teaching has allowed me to share that knowledge while helping students discover their own musical strengths.

My teaching philosophy focuses on encouragement, structure, and individualized support. Every learner has unique needs, so I adapt lessons to provide the most effective guidance possible. Through technical exercises, repertoire study, and performance preparation, I help students build confidence alongside musical skill. Supporting long-term development is one of my primary goals.

Outside teaching, I enjoy attending concerts, studying music pedagogy, and exploring a wide range of violin repertoire. These interests help me bring variety and insight into lessons. Teaching violin is rewarding because I get to witness students transform their effort into meaningful progress. Helping them achieve their musical goals remains one of the most satisfying aspects of my career.

About the lesson

My violin lessons focus on developing strong technical foundations while encouraging expressive and thoughtful musicianship. Students learn bow control, intonation, rhythm accuracy, tone development, scales, sight-reading, and performance techniques through structured learning and practical application. I help learners understand how technique supports musical expression, creating balanced and meaningful progress. This approach helps students grow with confidence.

Each lesson is personalized to suit the learner’s experience level and objectives. Beginners focus on posture, coordination, and simple melodies that establish strong habits. Intermediate students improve accuracy, tone quality, and musical interpretation. Advanced learners refine performance skills, advanced repertoire, and expressive playing. Regular feedback and targeted exercises help students continue improving steadily.

I believe learning the violin should feel rewarding and inspiring. My lessons encourage patience, dedication, and creativity while maintaining a positive learning environment. As students gain skills, they become more comfortable sharing their music with others. My goal is to help learners develop both technical ability and a lasting appreciation for music.
