About Gaspard

Hello ! My name is Gaspard, I am 21 years old and I am a student at the Higher Academy of Music in Strasbourg (HEAR) in violin, I previously studied at the Guildhall School in London and Paris. I like to teach and share what I like and know best, which has fascinated me since childhood: music and the violin. I have been teaching since 2016, I have taught mainly in Paris and London. Adapting to the person in front of me is what seems most important to me. Each of us have different desires and goals, adapting my teaching to my students is therefore essential to make them progress as well as possible and to see them flourish musically and in work. About the lesson

My courses are aimed at beginners as well as more advanced, adults or children. Some of my students also have a teacher in a music school or a conservatory and come to see me to help them rehearse, for others I am their only teacher, some do not know music very well at the beginning, for others it's already a passion, I also had professional students in another musical field (pianists, composers and singers in particular). My method is therefore not the same for everyone, it adapts above all to the wishes and needs of the pupil, I of course have common and basic principles (especially with regard to the purely instrumental technique which can be flexible and adaptable but all the same and above all fair and precise) but the choice of the repertoire or the content of the course depends on several factors that I establish with the person in front of me. The main common point between one course and another is the atmosphere and my good humor, the courses are a space of mutual sharing where joy is essential! The first lesson allows me to get a first idea of what I will need to prepare for the following ones, I like to take time to prepare my lessons and thus the student and I felt as free as possible with the goals that we have set for ourselves. Not only do I accompany the students in their learning of the violin but I also help them to better understand the music, I offer them to listen to other pieces, I inform them about the contexts of the works, I like to use the song and the body to facilitate the placement of the played pieces.
