About Ruby
I have a Master’s in Vocal Performance and Music Education and 8 years of teaching experience guiding students from beginner to advanced levels. My philosophy emphasizes technical mastery combined with creative expression, allowing learners to develop a confident and versatile voice. I focus on building lessons that are engaging, adaptable, and tailored to individual goals, strengths, and learning styles.
I integrate breath work, vocal exercises, repertoire study, improvisation, and performance coaching to ensure comprehensive vocal development. I also emphasize mindfulness, mental focus, and emotional connection to help students overcome performance anxiety and cultivate expressive freedom. My lessons aim to make technical practice enjoyable and meaningful while supporting artistic growth.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring different musical styles, performing, and studying contemporary vocal techniques. This experience allows me to provide real-world insight and inspiration to my students. Watching learners progress from hesitant beginners to confident, expressive singers is deeply rewarding and motivates my ongoing dedication to teaching vocal performance.

Singing lessons are most effective when students connect their breath, voice, and emotion in a natural and confident way. My approach combines vocal technique, phrasing, tone control, resonance, and stylistic interpretation to ensure learners can express themselves fully while maintaining vocal health. I use interactive exercises, guided repertoire, improvisation, and mindfulness techniques to foster awareness of breath and body alignment. Each lesson is structured to develop skill gradually while inspiring creativity and enjoyment in singing.
Beginners focus on foundational techniques including proper breathing, pitch matching, vowel clarity, and simple song interpretation. Intermediate learners expand on vocal agility, dynamic control, resonance, and expressive phrasing, applying these to more challenging repertoire. Advanced learners explore stage presence, complex interpretation, stylistic versatility, and performance techniques that enhance emotional delivery. Lessons always include detailed feedback, structured exercises, and practice strategies tailored to each student’s goals.
Singing is more than technique; it cultivates confidence, emotional intelligence, and personal expression. Students learn to communicate meaningfully through music, connect with their audience, and perform with assurance. I foster a supportive, motivating environment where learners feel safe to experiment, make mistakes, and grow. My aim is for each student to develop a confident, expressive voice that reflects their individuality while enjoying the transformative power of singing.
