About Tressa
With 9 years of teaching experience, I’ve guided singers from beginners to advanced performers in discovering their unique vocal identity. My approach blends technical precision with emotional awareness, helping students sing with control, clarity, and self-expression. I create a supportive, engaging environment where students feel safe to explore, experiment, and develop confidence. My philosophy emphasizes consistency, mindfulness, and joy in practice, fostering growth that extends beyond the classroom. Outside teaching, I perform, record, and collaborate with other musicians. For me, the most rewarding moments come when a student finds their voice and expresses themselves fully through song.

My singing lessons focus on developing the voice holistically, combining breath control, resonance, and articulation with expressive interpretation. Each session begins with warm-ups to release tension and activate the vocal mechanism, followed by exercises to expand range, improve tone, and enhance flexibility. Students learn to balance technique with emotional delivery, ensuring that every performance is both confident and authentic.
I incorporate multiple genres — from pop and jazz to classical and musical theatre — allowing students to adapt their voice while exploring personal style. Lessons include phrasing, diction, and dynamic control, alongside guided improvisation and repertoire interpretation. Recording and reflective listening exercises reinforce progress and self-awareness.
For performance preparation, I provide stage presence coaching, visualization exercises, and strategies for overcoming performance anxiety. Each lesson aims to strengthen both skill and confidence, helping students connect deeply with their voice and artistic expression.
