About Melonie

Holding a BM degree from the University of Cincinnati and status as a certified vocology practitioner, I hear the exact mechanics of a voice before the sound even hits the air. My teaching history spans 5 years of correcting the common mistakes that happen when a syllabus fails a student. I emphasize genre styling for pop and musical theatre, stage fear management, and precise microphone technique.

My approach stays rooted in the Seth Riggs lineage, focusing on mixed voice as the natural core of pop and musical theatre singing. I show the thinking out loud, including the dead ends, to make the invisible steps visible for you.

About the lesson

Starting our time together, you receive a diagnostic vocal assessment that maps your current range and technical habits during the initial 10.0 minutes of the session. We analyze your specific pitch control and resonance patterns immediately.

I pinpoint the exact moment you lose the thread in a difficult phrase. This diagnostic approach allows us to skip guesswork.

My 5 years of experience ensures we address the root cause of your vocal fatigue. The BM degree I earned informs the structure of our technical drills. We proceed from there.
