About Evelyn
So, we start with the breath, because it really is the engine for everything else. I prioritize pacing that allows for consistent growth, breaking down complex belting techniques or vibrato control into manageable steps that prevent strain.
You will find that my approach to warm up exercises is deeply rooted in the physical requirements of performance, helping you gain pitch control and rhythm while building confidence. We spend time on head and chest voice transitions, ensuring that your vocal range extension feels like a natural expansion rather than a forced effort.
I am here to provide feedback that is both honest and encouraging so that you can navigate your repertoire with ease. If you are preparing for an exam or just want to sing for the joy of it, I am happy to guide you through these fundamental shifts in technique. Holding a BMus degree feels like a lifelong privilege, though I admit that finding the right balance between technical precision and raw emotion took me many years to refine. My path as a singer from Andalucía has been defined by the boleros I sing and the flamenco guitar I play, which I now use to inform my vocal pedagogy.
Having taught a wide range of students, from teens to adults and those returning to the craft after a long break, I value the unique perspective each person brings to the studio. My experience has shown me that whether I am working with a grade exam candidate or a hobbyist, the most effective instruction occurs when the student feels safe enough to explore the limits of their voice. It is genuinely enjoyable to witness that moment when a student discovers the full potential of their own resonance.
