About Betty
Earning a BFA in Contemporary Music Performance at USC Thornton gave me the tools to understand the human voice from a scientific and artistic perspective. You might feel like your progress has stalled, but I am here to help you move past those internal blocks. After 13 years of gigging, I have helped 131 students find their unique sound while working through performance anxiety. My background centers on the folk and Americana traditions of artists like Lucinda Williams.
I frequently work with advanced learners and teens who want to refine their tone. Hobbyists and self-taught players benefit from the straightforward, honest feedback I provide in every session. Teaching is not just about technique; it is about building a sustainable craft. I know exactly what it takes to sing with honesty.

Stage fear is a common struggle that stops many talented singers from performing in front of others. I teach you how to manage those nerves using specific warm-up exercises and breathing control techniques. My lessons are designed to give you free access to my personal notes on tone and resonance.
Teens and advanced learners find that focusing on the technical side of performance helps them feel more secure. I bring my 13 years of stage experience to help you find your true voice in any room. We work through the mechanics of breathing so that your support never falters under pressure.
