About Ama
I am an international student from Sri Lanka studying nutrition, with a big passion for music! I have more than 5 years of experience in teaching voice at an institution called "Music Matters". I have also taught voice training online for over a year now. Although I currently study something completely different from music, the passion I have for music and teaching is greater than anything!

Vocal training does not have to be stressful! Our classes will start with a friendly conversation first, and then start our lesson. First of all, vocal warm-ups are a must. I will first start with some breathing exercises, then move on to lip trills, scales, arpeggios, some fun tongue twisters and finish it off with a listening game. This will typically take around 30 minutes. The rest of the lesson will have another 30 minutes left, and during that time we will work on a song that you like. If you absolutely have no clue on what you want to work on, I am happy to recommend a song if you are okay with it. The entire class is one hour! I have worked as a vocal trainer in my home country (Sri Lanka) for over 5 years at an institution called Music Matters and I have worked with all types of students with different ages! My lessons here are mainly for students between the ages of 8 to 20 years and I teach absolute beginners to intermediate. See you soon!
