About Florence
I design my singing lessons to help students bring their voice and story to life through storytelling, emotional expression, and vocal character work. Every note becomes an opportunity to communicate meaning and connect with an audience. We explore acting through song, dramatic timing, and stage presence so that performances feel authentic, dynamic, and memorable.
I tailor lessons to each student’s pace, skill level, and emotional needs. Some learners benefit from gentle, structured guidance, while others thrive with advanced repertoire and expressive challenges. I help students navigate these differences with patience, encouragement, and practical strategies.
For those performing in groups or ensembles, I focus on harmony, blending, and expressive collaboration to help them shine as part of a team. For students pursuing more intensive training, I refine technique, interpretation, and repertoire while building confidence and performance poise.
I guide singers to develop stage presence, vocal nuance, and emotional connection to the music, helping them deliver every performance with clarity and intention. I encourage exploration, experimentation, and self-expression in a safe and supportive space.

I’m a dedicated singing tutor with over 4 years of professional teaching experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, with a major in Voice. My approach to teaching is grounded in compassion, creativity, and intentional care. I take particular pride in supporting neurodivergent learners and students who manage anxiety, creating a nurturing and affirming environment where every voice is welcomed, celebrated, and valued. I firmly believe that every person’s voice has a story to tell, and my role as a tutor is to help that story emerge authentically and confidently.
In my lessons, I prioritize gentle, patient pacing to ensure that each student feels supported and understood. I use sensory-friendly vocal exercises and visual prompts to enhance comprehension and make technical concepts easier to grasp. My teaching style emphasizes calm, consistent routines that foster a safe and trusting learning space. Each lesson is designed to be both engaging and reassuring, allowing students to explore their vocal abilities without fear or pressure.
I tailor my approach to meet students exactly where they are, whether they are just beginning their vocal journey or rediscovering their voice after periods of challenge or setback. My goal is to help students sing with less tension, increased presence, and genuine joy. Together, we explore essential aspects of singing, including tone, breath control, phrasing, vocal resonance, and emotional expression, all in a supportive and pressure-free environment. I focus on helping students build confidence, find ease in their voice, and develop their unique artistic expression over time.
