About Krishna
I am Krishna Suresh, BS-MS graduate student from IISER Thiruvananthapuram.
Since my high school days, I was fond of reading Science Magazines, which gradually developed my interest in the
field of Chemistry. Pursuing science was everything I ever wanted. To achieve this goal, I have tried hard,
which becoming the school academic topper on Higher Secondary level by scoring A+ in all subjects. I chose to read
an in-depth understanding of science by joining a premier research institute, the Indian Institute of Science Education
and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) for my undergraduate study (2016-2021). I received the prestigious
Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) fellowship, given by the Department of Science and
Technology, Government of India, during this period.
I must admit, my decision to join IISER had been one of the best decisions in my life. This place allowed me to
realize my passion for Science. It has indeed been a very satisfying, almost five-year experience at IISER TVM. After two years of training in all basic Sciences, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, and
Chemistry in an interdisciplinary manner by an ensemble of some of the best scientists in India, I had chosen
Chemistry as my major field of study and Biology as the minor. In five years of undergrad studies, I took up various
projects and internships in different research groups that exposed me to several diverse aspects of Chemistry. I have always had a passion to teach, inspired by my parents where both of
them are teachers.
