About Terence

My love for teaching stems from when I was in High School until today. One of my core beliefs is treating every person as a an individual and getting to understand them better.I am a good listener, and that is one of the fundamentals of a good teacher.Teaching means, putting myself in a student's shoes and how badly they would like to learn. Constructive Criticism and good error-correction are good forms of giving someone feedback so they do not lose confidence in themselves.

.As someone once said,’ teaching transcends impartation of knowledge. It includes bonding and forming affinity with leaders of tomorrow who are in my class today’. An enthusiastic and friendly disposition is essential to encourage interactions between pupils and teachers.

I am passionate about finding the most effective ways of stimulating and sustaining creative development and it is important to me to optimise student engagement and success. I enjoy working to deadlines, finding that working under pressure sharpens my focus. In high school I used to volunteer and read comprehension during English classes and that helped develop my love for teaching and although I went on to study something else, it has always been my wish to teach.

The experience I have so far has opened my mind to a world of many things including time management and I credit myself on being punctual and reliable. I am motivated and passionate about being a part of the educational system in order to affect positive change in society. I have had the opportunity to build my interpersonal and communication skills in variety of jobs, which makes me a candidate who will be effective in working with other faculties, communicating with parents and being a highly effective teacher.

About the lesson

My lessons are structured in a way that gives you the student the platform to learn and gain confidence. We will start off with a trial lesson to get to understand the problems that you have and then establish a package that would better work for you. Let us aim at lessoning the tutor talk time and increase students talk time. At the same time, students are not the same so, I like to treat every student as an individual thereby gathering each student;s strengths and weaknesses.
