About Jessica
My name is Jessica Nguanda, and I am a passionate watercolor artist, doing it for 5 years now, I love helping others discover their creativity through art. I specialize in teaching beginner to early intermediate students, and I focus on making watercolor painting feel simple, enjoyable, and accessible to everyone.
My teaching approach is patient, structured, and encouraging. I understand that starting something new—especially art—can feel intimidating, so I guide my students step by step, building both their skills and their confidence. I place strong emphasis on creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves, asking questions, and learning at their own pace.
Each lesson is thoughtfully planned and tailored to the student’s level and goals. I teach essential watercolor techniques such as blending, layering, brush control, and color use, while also encouraging creativity and personal style. Students can expect a balance of demonstration, guided practice, and constructive feedback to help them improve consistently.
I am proficient in English and conduct all lessons clearly and professionally. I am committed to being reliable, well-prepared, and attentive to each student’s progress, ensuring that every lesson is both productive and enjoyable.

I offer personalized watercolor art lessons designed to make painting feel simple, relaxing, and enjoyable, especially for beginners. As a passionate young artist, my teaching approach focuses on building confidence first, then developing technique step by step. I believe that anyone can learn to paint with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement.
My methodology is very hands-on and student-centered. I break down watercolor techniques into easy, manageable steps, while also giving students creative freedom to express their own style. What makes my lessons unique is that I create a calm, supportive environment where students are not afraid to make mistakes and can grow at their own pace. I also adapt each lesson to suit the student’s goals, whether they want to paint for fun, improve their skills, or explore creativity more deeply.
I am proficient in English and can comfortably teach and communicate all lessons in English.
In a typical lesson, students can expect a short introduction to a technique (such as blending, washes, or layering), followed by a guided painting session where I demonstrate and assist in real time. I also provide feedback, tips, and small exercises to help improve control, creativity, and confidence. Each lesson is interactive and relaxed, while still being structured enough to ensure steady progress.
My lessons are ideal for beginners and early intermediate students, especially children, teens, or anyone who feels they are “not naturally artistic” but wants to learn. I focus on making art accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding for all skill levels.
