About Zachary

Hey there! My name is Zachary, and I'm a 2nd year Waterloo Mechatronics Engineering student. I have tutored students from elementary to the university level at Kumon, the CODE Initiative, Pinetree Secondary, and here at Superprof.
I am passionate about guiding students toward reaching their full potential—and in the right way. I acknowledge that each student learns differently and at varied paces. I'll do my best to teach to YOUR strengths. I'm flexible and eager to accommodate any requests! A comfortable atmosphere is equally important when it comes to learning.
Having gone through a rigorous AP course load and contest mathematics, I understand effective learning techniques and strategies. I'm a 2x international math contest attendant with AP Chemistry and AP Physics II experience. I held a 95% first year average with coursework including Calculus I/II , Chemistry, and Physics (dynamics, statics, solid mechanics).

Lessons are held over Google Meets, where I share my screen to provide lessons and work through problems together.

I place importance on core understanding as well as ample repetition. Lessons will focus on clearing up any confusion before working through the material. Once you acquire an appropriate conceptual understanding, speed and reaction time will be worked on.

Perfect! For a student in grade 12, we had one chemistry session with Zachary, it was a good experience. Zachary keeps his lessons interactive and fully engages his student.
