About Briar
I am an experienced ESL tutor with 16 years of teaching experience, working with High School and College students. Throughout my teaching journey, I have successfully guided between 150 and 200 students in improving their English skills for academic success and everyday communication. My teaching philosophy focuses on patience, clarity, and student confidence. I believe English should be taught in a simple and practical way.
I create a friendly learning environment where students feel comfortable speaking and learning from mistakes. I understand that each student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit individual needs. I focus on speaking fluency, grammar accuracy, vocabulary building, and writing skills. I use real-life examples, discussions, and structured exercises to help students apply English naturally.
I also assist students with exam preparation, presentations, and classroom communication. One of my key achievements is helping students gain confidence in English. Many learners have shown improvement in communication skills, academic performance, and classroom participation. I am dedicated to helping students grow steadily and reach their goals.

My ESL teaching methodology focuses on helping students use English confidently in real-life situations. I believe language learning should be practical and easy to apply. Motivation plays an important role in my teaching approach. I encourage students by setting clear goals and recognizing improvement. I create a friendly learning environment where students feel safe to practice and grow.
Integrity guides my teaching values. I provide honest feedback, maintain consistency, and respect each student’s pace of learning. I stay dedicated to student progress.
Flexibility allows me to adjust lessons according to individual needs and goals. I adapt teaching methods, pace, and materials as required. Along with ESL, I also teach grammar, vocabulary building, reading comprehension, writing skills, pronunciation, and communication skills. My goal is to help students communicate clearly and confidently.
