About Wiling
I am a professional piano tutor with 13 years of experience and a successful record of teaching around 300 students, including high school learners, college students, and adults. My lessons focus on improving technical skills, musical understanding, and performance confidence, while fostering creativity and expressive playing.
My teaching philosophy balances structured instruction with encouragement, emphasising posture, hand coordination, finger exercises, scales, chord transitions, rhythm practice, sight-reading, and musical interpretation. I guide students to connect emotionally with the music, ensuring both technical accuracy and expressive performance.
Each lesson includes technical exercises, theory, repertoire practice, and performance preparation, along with strategies for effective home practice. Many students have performed successfully in recitals, competitions, and school events, and several have achieved high distinctions in graded examinations. My mission is to help students become confident, expressive, and skilled pianists with a lifelong passion for music.

My piano teaching approach is built on adaptation, flexibility, collaboration, and positivity. I carefully evaluate each student’s skill level and learning preference to create personalised lessons. I focus on developing technique, rhythm stability, hand coordination, and expressive performance skills.
I provide clear guidance and practical exercises to strengthen understanding. Flexibility ensures students progress comfortably while still being challenged. Collaboration allows students to share their musical interests and participate in planning their growth.
I maintain a supportive atmosphere where effort is encouraged and achievements are recognised. In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, harmony, and beginner composition to help students become confident, independent musicians.
