About James
I have been teaching piano since grade school. I have not taught music theory privately, however, I have taught and tutored students. I am capable of teaching up until BA-level theory. I have also used the Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program. In this course of study, music theory, sight-reading, and aural skills are developed.

I teach and adapt frequently to my students' understanding and levels. I will not spend too much time on concepts that are already familiar. I often teach via the Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program. I also am capable of teaching what is required for preparation of the AP Music Theory exam. I took the exam as sophomore in high school and received a 5.

He has a positive and encouraging approach and effective teaching methods to help his students not only learn how to play the piano but also to love playing the piano and sharing love of music with others.
